Our Mission

What is OCERT?

OCERT is an ecosystem that brings all stakeholders together to discuss and structure the training of robotic surgery in Europe. To streamline ideas and projects and to decide on future initiatives, we have organized a series of meetings.

Led by Orsi Academy, the Orsi Consensus Meeting on European Robotic Training (OCERT) is an international, multidisciplinary conference involving, scientific societies, experts and industry leaders focused on training in robotic surgery.

Scope and Aim

  • Explore and compare existing training pathways for robotic surgery across specialties.

  • Share best practices in structure, validation, certification, and accessibility.

  • Align on strategic goals such as standardization, quality assurance, and accreditation.

  • Learn from existing models: understand how robotic training is currently organized in different specialties.

  • Benchmark and standardize: explore opportunities for cross-specialty training standards.

  • Develop quality assurance mechanisms: identify validated training modules, certification approaches, and developed metrics.

  • Foster collaboration: strengthen the network between surgical societies, academia, and industry.
